Taking place on Saturday, September 30th, and Sunday, October 1st, these action-packed days promise an unforgettable experience for young enthusiasts.

Day 1: Beavers and Cubs [book here]

On Saturday, September 30th, the River Avon will be abuzz with excitement as Beavers and Cubs embark on an exhilarating day of exploration. One of the day’s highlights will be bell boating—a thrilling team-building activity where participants work together to paddle a specially designed boat. Bell boating improves communication skills and teaches the importance of coordination and cooperation.

The day will also feature various bushcraft activities besides water activities. From learning essential survival skills like fire building, young participants will gain a deep appreciation for the natural world and acquire valuable knowledge that may be useful in outdoor adventures.

Day 2: Scouts and Explorers [book here]

Sunday, October 1st, is reserved for the older Scouts and Explorers, ready to take on the challenging task of being out on the water on the River Avon.

In addition to time on the water, the Scouts and Explorers will engage in bushcraft activities that build upon the skills they’ve acquired over the years.

So, mark your calendars for September 30th and October 1st, and prepare to embark on an unforgettable adventure along the scenic River Avon. Let these water and bushcraft activity days inspire our Scouts of all ages.
